ENGLISH After months of planning our exchange project we are finally getting started. We are now on a trip to Italy, Milan, where we finally got to meet our project colleagues from the pre-school Sagoskeppet in Malmö. The enthusiasm and energy level was high. Tuesday morning we got on the metro to the Expo2015, for which the expectations were high, with the main goal to visit the Children Park. The Children Park is a great investment to communicate the idea of a child with a hundred languages. The park is inspired by the Expo theme ”feeding the planet, energy for life”.

”The challenge is to get the children interested and to have fun while they explore the complex theme of life and sustainability on Earth using different approaches and languages (physical, sensory, relational, cultural). Since children will be producers and consumers of food in the future this area is the Expo’s real testing ground: this is where the concept of immaterial legacy immediately becomes concrete. The theme of food resources and how they are distributed around the planets runs through the entire Expo event. Because of its universal nature Expo Milano 2015 is an opportunity to give children the perception they are participating actors in issues that involve us all.” (Rechild News 2/2013)

”WE DO NOT WANT TO TEACH CHILDREN LESSONS ON SUSTAINABILITY IN THIS PARK, WHAT WE HAVE IN MIND IS CREATING AND BUILDING CONTEXTS TO SUSTAIN CHILDREN’S CURIOSITY, THEIR CAPACITY FOR WONDER AND FOR SEEKING OUT ALLIANCES AND ”SYMPATHY” WITH THEIR NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL SURROUNDINGS, SOMETHING THAT BELONGS TO ALL CHILDREN”
